New EQ Crane Technology Balances Power With Energy Savings

EQ, for “equilibrium”, reduces the crane’s expenditure of energy by offsetting the weight of the lifting load with a counterbalancing system. Pivot points in the balancing system shift the counterbalance weight to maintain a constant equilibrium with the position of the load.

This design allows equilibrium cranes to extend their reach further than traditional material handlers and support more weight throughout their lifting envelope, while reducing energy and operating costs by as much as 75%.

In ports or in scrap recycling yards, the new EQ cranes are the right solution for moving large volumes of material for the lowest operating cost and with the least environmental impact.
