Twin Village Recycling Works Smarter with SENNEBOGEN

Located in Depew, New York, Twin Village Recycling has been serving Western New York since 1946. Now in its third generation of family ownership, the company processes ferrous and non-ferrous metals from industrial accounts, contractors, and the public. What began as a small scrap operation has evolved into a full-service recycling facility focused on maximizing efficiency while continuing to invest in the future.
Owner Nick Marcezin purchased the company from his father after his parents took over the business in 1976. Today, multiple generations of the family remain involved in daily operations, helping guide the company forward while maintaining the values it was built on.

Processing Material from Start to Finish

Material entering Twin Village Recycling moves through a series of shredding, sorting, and recovery processes designed to maximize value. From ferrous scrap to non-ferrous commodities, each material stream is processed and prepared for shipment to buyers. “The cleaner the product, the more value it has,” said Ted, a longtime Twin Village employee.

One Machine, Multiple Jobs

One of the latest additions to the operation is a SENNEBOGEN 360G, which has quickly become one of the most versatile machines in the yard.

Operated daily by Michelle Jacobson, the machine feeds material into the company’s processing system while also supporting a variety of tasks throughout the facility. Material is loaded into a hopper, where it begins its journey through the separation process before eventually being prepared for shipment.

Beyond feeding the plant, the 360G is equipped with multiple attachments, including a bucket, forks, and a clamshell attachment, allowing it to handle everything from loading pallets and trucks to moving material throughout the metal room.
Rather than switching between multiple pieces of equipment throughout the day, Twin Village can rely on a single machine to perform a wide range of tasks. According to Jacobson, that flexibility has improved efficiency across the yard while reducing the amount of equipment that needs to be maintained and operated.

“The yard runs more efficiently off of one piece of equipment rather than multiple pieces,” Jacobson said.

Support has continued after the sale as well. According to Michael Marcezin, parts availability, customer service, and the overall ease of maintaining the equipment have helped reinforce the company’s confidence in the brand.

Designed with the Operator in Mind

For operators, visibility and safety are just as important as productivity.

The elevating cab on the SENNEBOGEN 360G provides a clear view into trucks, hoppers, and processing areas, helping operators work more accurately while reducing blind spots.

“It’s a great safety feature because it clears up blind spots,” Jacobson said.

The improved visibility makes it easier to see exactly where material is being placed, whether feeding the hopper or loading trucks. Operators can better monitor load levels, avoid overfilling equipment, and work more confidently throughout the day.

The machine’s elevating cab also positions Twin Village to take on additional truck-loading responsibilities in the future, giving operators a clear view into trailers while helping prevent damage and improve loading accuracy.

A Partnership Built on Support

For Twin Village, the relationship with SENNEBOGEN extends well beyond the machine itself.

When the company took delivery of its new 360G, SENNEBOGEN representatives worked directly with operators to ensure they were comfortable with the machine and its capabilities.

One detail that stood out to Jacobson was SENNEBOGEN’s effort to ensure everyone involved with the machine could fully understand its operation. SENNEBOGEN provided a Spanish-speaking representative who worked directly with members of the team during machine familiarization.

“It was extremely helpful,” Jacobson said. “I was grateful for that.”

Support has continued after the sale as well. According to Michael Marcezin, parts availability, customer service, and the overall ease of maintaining the equipment have helped reinforce the company’s confidence in the brand.

Team Green Since 2004

Twin Village’s relationship with SENNEBOGEN goes back more than two decades. After operating older equipment for years, the company added its first SENNEBOGEN material handler in 2004.

“It was kind of a game changer for us,” said Michael Marcezin.

The increase in efficiency helped Twin Village move approximately 1,000 additional tons of material per month, significantly increasing production and helping shape future equipment decisions.

As the operation has continued to grow, Twin Village has remained focused on finding ways to move more material, improve efficiency, and support the next generation of the business.

“We liked the way it looked, and we liked what it did,” Nick Marcezin said of the company’s latest SENNEBOGEN purchase. “We’re very pleased with it.”

Looking Ahead

As Twin Village Recycling continues building on nearly eight decades of history, the company remains focused on improving efficiency, increasing production, and preparing the next generation for the future.

Backed by a long-standing relationship with SENNEBOGEN and a continued commitment to investing in equipment, the team is well positioned to keep material moving for years to come.
