How Kravitz Tree Service Helps Its Community With the SENNEBOGEN 718E

Located in Ferdonia, New York, Kravitz Tree Service is a family-owned business, going on six years, that spans over three counties. They focus primarily on residential tree removal, tree trimming, and stump grinding, as well as contract work with the surrounding counties for tree removal, line clearance, and storm relief. Kravitz Tree started out like most tree care services with a bucket truck and knuckle boom, but has since upped its safety and uptime with a SENNEBOGEN 718E and plans for more SENNEBOGEN tree care machines within the next year.

From Facebook to Reality

Ben Kravitz, owner of Kravitz Tree Service, first learned about SENNEBOGEN while scrolling on Facebook. “I thought, ‘Wow, what a nice piece of equipment. It would be nice to own one,” Ben stated. He contacted the tree care manager of SENNEBOGEN, who set up a demo with Mayer Tree Service in Massachusetts.

“We looked at the SENNEBOGEN working, and within an hour or two I called Greg and said, ‘I want one of these.’ When we got back from the demo, there was a 718E sitting in our parking lot,” said Ben, who saw how fast the machine could take down trees and how safe the operator was in the MaxCab. “Safety and proficiency are important to me. How fast the machine could put material on the ground was impressive.”

Changing the Landscape of Tree Care

“The 718E blows every other piece of equipment out of the water as far as residential, commercial, roadside, or storm cleanup work – and I’ve been around a lot of tree equipment,” said Ben, “You could do one job climbing or with a bucket truck, or you could do 20 jobs with a SENNEBOGEN and have it be much safer.” One of the operators at Kravitz Tree Service was originally a ground guy and has been promoted to operating the 718E, “I love it. It saves a lot of backwork since I don’t have to climb. It also does a lot of work for the guys on the ground, we aren’t killing our bodies anymore,” he said, “I feel like it integrated easily into our operation. It cuts jobs by more than half. A tree could take us half a day with traditional methods, but I can get some trees down in ten minutes. Time is money in this kind of business.”

Safety is big for Kravitz Tree Service, which has been a big plus for their business. “We can breathe easy knowing we are providing our crews the safest equipment on the market. It allows them to do the job safely and efficiently, which for us is priceless,” said Mariah Kravitz, co-owner of Kravitz Tree Service.

Being a Part of the SENNEBOGEN Family

Beyond the machine, the family-oriented values and customer service of SENNEBOGEN are what owners Mariah and Ben Kravitz appreciate. “We are really family and people-oriented,” said Mariah. “I love SENNEBOGEN because their customer service is amazing,” Said Ben, “Any time you have a breakdown or need a part, they will help. I can call or text any time of day with no problem. It’s almost like a family, they are so family-oriented.”

Looking to the future

“SENNEBOGEN is a family business, and we are a family business. We pride ourselves on having that family business atmosphere and are very rooted in our community. We want to help out as much as we can,” Said Ben.

“I love the partnership we have with SENNEBOGEN, they are all amazing people from the salesman to the owner, and I want to continue and get our second SENNEBOGEN this year. The Sky is the limit as far as I am concerned.”
