DESCRIPTION
The Parts Technical Associate role is a key factory support role essential to keeping our customer’s machines healthy and running. In this important role, researching parts not easily found due to incomplete, incorrect, and changing information then documenting for future reference. This role supports Regional Business Managers (RBMs), Dealers, ASPs, and the Service and Parts Departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Update, find, and document, errors in documentation from the factory, and enter it into the ERP in way that it can be found easily.
- Enter found information on ERP in a way that it can be easily obtained again
- Develop new customer support kits
- Create new part numbers and descriptions in ERP
- Maintain internal technical documents in the ERP
- Research and source non-stock parts and provide information to purchasing
- Assist Service and Parts departments in part number identification
- For new machines or new series, review, identify, compile, critical parts lists
- Maintain the Repair and Maintenance program technical document with accurate pricing and technical data
- Prepare and update Maintenance schedules for machines models upon request
- Work with service
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- A great understanding of heavy equipment, Hydraulic systems, and Electrical systems
- Ability to read basic schematics
- Demonstrate a professional customer-centric attitude at all times and interact with individuals at all levels from mechanics to management
- Excellent prioritization skills and an ability to make decisions quickly
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter and demonstrated follow up
- Excellent communications skills with proven ability to speak confidently and professionally in small and large group settings to internal staff and management and external customers as well as demonstrate strong written communication skills with the ability to write in a well-organized and concise manner
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop high-quality working relationships both internally and externally
- Demonstrates high level of accountability and professionalism in all dealings
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Thorough knowledge of the MS Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently while coordinating activities with a variety of large teams
- Strong planning and organizational skills including demonstrating the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment
- Must have a passport and clean driving record
- Physical requirements for this position include, but are not limited to scaling, climbing, lifting 50 lbs.,
and bending.
