DESCRIPTION
The 2022 Sennebogen 865 M B23 is a rubber-tired material handler with approximately 75 feet (23 meters) of reach, a hydraulically elevating E300/260 Maxcab industry with roughly 25 feet of eye level, and approximately 5,700 hours. It is powered by a 355 hp Cummins Tier 4 Final diesel and carries Sennebogen’s Green Hybrid energy recovery system. Offered without attachment and located in South Carolina, it is backed by Sennebogen’s factory parts and service network.
This 2022 Sennebogen 865 M is a purpose-built material handler in the B23 configuration, delivering approximately 75 feet of working reach at 5,700 hours. It was never a converted excavator. The boom pivot, the one-piece center frame, the swing bearing geometry, and the counterweight were all designed from the outset around a machine that swings loaded through 360 degrees all day — which is why the centered point of rotation gives equal lift capacity in every direction rather than a chart that falls apart over the side.
The cab is the E300/260 Maxcab industry, hydraulically elevating and able to move forward as it rises, putting the operator’s eye level at roughly 25 feet. On trailer, container, railcar, and barge loading, that height is the difference between placing material and guessing at it. Bulletproof windshield and skylight are standard, as is the rearview and right-side camera system, automatic climate control, an air-suspended seat, and a sliding door onto a guarded permanent catwalk.
The Green Hybrid energy recovery system is what separates this machine from conventional iron of similar size. Vertical boom movement generates potential energy; a hybrid cylinder captures it in gas accumulators; that stored energy then supports the boom through the next lift cycle. The effect is that the 865 outlifts larger conventional machines while consuming roughly 30 percent less energy. The system is mechanical and hydraulic throughout, with no electronics in the recovery loop to fail in a scrap yard environment.
Hydraulics are a LUDV load-sensing, pilot-pressure controlled system running variable-displacement axial-piston pumps at up to 5,076 psi and 2 x 126 gallons per minute. HydroClean dual filtration holds 3-micron filtration continuously with no bypass in the circuit, which is the kind of detail that shows up not in a spec sheet comparison but in pump life five years out. Automatic central lubrication is standard, and the fully hydraulic controls require no proprietary software or black-box modules to troubleshoot.
Serviceability was designed in rather than added later. The engine is mounted longitudinally, which creates a natural flow-through air tunnel for cooling and gives clear access to service points. All daily service is completed from the ground, test ports are grouped together behind the cab within reach from ground level, and the SENCON diagnostic system presents fault and status information on a multicolor monitor in plain language. Access to the upper deck is by a permanent three-point-contact ladder with railings, with handrails and anti-slip surfaces throughout.
This machine is offered on a bare stick, so the buyer can spec the grapple, clamshell, or other attachment to their own material and existing fleet rather than paying for one that does not fit the operation. The 865 accepts Sennebogen attachments as well as the full range of standard attachments from brand-name manufacturers.
Behind the machine is Sennebogen’s North American support operation in Stanley, North Carolina — the largest inventory of material handler parts in the Americas, with 98 percent of orders fulfilled within 24 hours, factory-direct technical support, and a coast-to-coast network of factory-trained distributors and authorized service providers. Service, parts, and operator training courses are offered free of charge to customers at the Stanley training center, at the same level dealers receive.
The machine is located in South Carolina. Contact us for machine price & freight/import quotes.
