Equipment Repair & Service NC Inc. (ERS) provides heavy-equipment service throughout North and South Carolina. Led by owner Ryan Vasconcellos, the Charlotte-area company has grown from a four-person operation into a team of approximately 12 employees, including 11 technicians, supporting more than 100 machines across its service area.
Vasconcellos credits part of that growth to ERS becoming a SENNEBOGEN Authorized Service Provider in 2020, giving the company direct access to manufacturer support, parts, training and technical resources.
An Opportunity to Work Directly With the Manufacturer
Vasconcellos first learned about the ASP program from a SENNEBOGEN representative while working on a customer’s jobsite. After researching the opportunity, he saw it as a natural fit for his growing company.
“I felt the opportunity to work directly with the manufacturer was huge for a small company like us,” Vasconcellos said.
Those resources gave the company support that would have been difficult to build independently.
Factory Training for the Entire Team
Training has become one of the most valuable parts of the ASP relationship for ERS.
Through the ASP program, ERS technicians receive free, in-person instruction directly from SENNEBOGEN before heading into the field.
“Training is fantastic,” he said. “To have free, in-person training direct from the manufacturer is top-notch.”
From Daily Maintenance to Complete Repowers
ERS performs maintenance throughout the Charlotte region every day, arriving prepared with service parts and kits for routine maintenance and more involved repairs.
As its experience with SENNEBOGEN equipment has grown, the team has expanded from preventive maintenance and leaking cylinders to larger mechanical projects.
“We’ve done everything from maintenance to a repower on a SENNEBOGEN,” Vasconcellos said.
SENNEBOGEN UPtime Kits help technicians stay ready for common field repairs by keeping essential components available and reducing delays.
“UPtime Kits are fantastic,” he said. “There are not a lot of manufacturers out there doing it. It’s different, and it’s definitely helpful.”
Manufacturer Support That Understands Urgency
Since joining the ASP network, ERS has received support across service, parts, customer relations and accounting.
“Everybody at SENNEBOGEN has helped us tremendously,” he said. “Everybody is willing to help, and they understand the urgency.”
That urgency is critical in material handling, where downtime can stop production and customers depend on fast diagnosis and repair.
“Our customers are there to move material, and we’re here to help them keep moving material,” Vasconcellos said. “SENNEBOGEN understands that, and that’s a big part of it.”
