Description
The National Account Representative plays a critical role by promoting the sale of SENNEBOGEN products with National Account customers by leading the company’s efforts to actively grow, maintain and expand relationships with large, multi-location customers. This position maintains communication between the dealer, and end-user for the benefit of everyone involved. Maintains existing and develops new customers.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with management to establish and execute a sales goals for National Accounts
- Develop and manage customer relationships with large national accounts
- Develop new sales leads and service existing customers within assigned industry
- Develop/Identify new market opportunities (diversification) including ongoing research of local markets and business activities
- Forecast annual, quarterly and monthly goals in CRM as opportunities
- Maintains details on National Accounts and all associated activities within SENNEBOGEN’s Customer Relations Management (CRM) system
- Educate customers and dealers on products, services, warranties and technical support
- Convey customer feedback on existing products and services, as well as changes, enhancements and new products to marketing team members for research
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly sales margins and goals
- Maintain existing National Accounts through detail account knowledge and developing key contacts within several levels of the organization to secure a long-term relationship with the National Account.
- Develop and continuously expand knowledge on SENNEBOGEN products and application attributes that meets the customer’s needs and enhances the overall financial performance
- Develops and maintains qualifying criteria, terms and conditions, and discount structures for National Accounts
- Establishes periodic sales calls and make presentations to National Accounts within the established annual travel and expense budgets. Must be able to make one-on-one presentations or to a cross-functional team
- Physical requirements for this position include, but are not limited to scaling, climbing, lifting 50 pounds, and
bending - Participates in other activities that support SENNEBOGEN products and the dealer network as requested by the CEO
Skills, Abilities and Background Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales or Marketing or equivalent work experience
- Proven track record selling a broad range of heavy equipment and specialized products
- Demonstrated knowledge of principles and practices in building new business, product marketing and sales
- Proven knowledge in the areas of sales management, forecasting and supply chain fundamentals
- Proven sales performer with excellent negotiating skills
- Possess the ability to handle difficult and demanding situations and multiple priorities
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter and demonstrated follow up
- Excellent verbal communications/presentation skills with proven ability to speak confidently and professionally in small and large group settings to internal staff and management and external customers
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to write in a well-organized and concise manner
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop high-quality working relationships both internally and externally
- Demonstrates high level of accountability and professionalism in all dealings
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills to develop sales strategies
- Thorough knowledge of the MS Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently while coordinating activities with a variety of large teams
- Strong planning and organizational skills including demonstrating the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment
- Regional travel is required (80%), long distance and international travel as necessary
- Must have a passport and clean driving record
Qualifications
- 8+ years’ experience in a customer facing role
- 8+ years’ experience in territory management
- 8+ years’ experience in distribution sales (rental channels and dealerships)
- 8+ years’ experience in commercial or industrial sales, (construction industry experience a plus)
- Live in/near or relocate to Stanley (Charlotte), NC
